Welcome to conference

Following the success of the previous Epigenetic Conferences in Budapest (2012 and 2014) we are delighted to announce that the next Danube Conference on Epigenetics will be held October 5-8th, 2016 again in Budapest. The conference is organized by Tamás Arányi (RCNS, Hungary), Bálint L. Bálint (University of Debrecen, Hungary), Petra Hajkova (MRC Clinical Sciences Centre and Imperial College London, UK), Ana Pombo (Max Delbrück Centre, Germany) and Laszlo Tora (IGBMC, France).

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate at this conference. After the plenary lecture and the 1st session on 5th October 2016 at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the conference will continue with five sessions on the following 3 days at the Research Center of Natural Sciences.
The following topics will be discussed in detail:

  1. Single-cell epigenetics
  2. Chromatin architecture
  3. Transcriptional regulation and epigenetics
  4. Epigenetics and metabolism
  5. Developmental epigenetics
  6. Transgenerational inheritance

The main objectives are to bring scientists together from these fields of epigenetics and promote their intensive interdisciplinary interactions facilitated by the medium sized meeting. Therefore the conference program is structured to have a lot of networking opportunity. We expect to have 150 participants including 20 outstanding invited lecturers (please find here the list of confirmed speakers including the EMBO Keynote speaker). We also plan to select several short talks from the submitted abstracts.

I sincerely hope that you will find this invitation interesting and will decide to participate.

Yours truly,

Tamás Arányi, MD, PhD On behalf of the organizing committee
